Specialty Valves include Checkmate valves which are combo valves with less bulk, a fire hydrant cap that adapts to 3/4 in. hose, and a sewer cleanout plug to remove blockages in system.

  • Checkmate valves have less bulk, making it easier to install; conveys water through the valve when the flapper and ball valve open
  • Easy-fit Checkmate valves connect two pipes in an irrigation or other pressurized system and prevents the backflow of water
  • Checkmate valve flapper allows water through when water pressure moves it; ball valve is easy to turn and provides a shut off point in system
  • Fire hydrant cap blocks debris from entering outlets and protects a hydrant from unauthorized use and vandalism
  • S&D sewer cleanout plug provides easy access to a main sewer line to remove blockages in system

Applications

  • Checkmate valves direct water flow one-way through pipe when flapper and ball valve opens, allowing water through; prevents costly property damage, pipe corrosion, and system issues

  • Fire hydrant cap prevents debris from entering hydrant and prevents damage to external thread; ensures hydrant functions properly and efficiently

  • Sewer cleanout plug provides access to main sewer line to remove blockages

Installation & Maintenance

  • Checkmate valve connects to pipe ends; solvent weld with primer and glue

  • Cap has two threaded connection points

  • Plug end is inserted into sewer and drain pipe; bolts secure plug in place

  • Specialty valve and component performance issues can indicate damage; replace as needed

Materials & Sustainability

  • Checkmate valves and fire hydrant cap are made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC)

  • Sewer cleanout plug is made of polypropylene (PP)

  • Checkmate valve has an EPDM & polyethylene O-Ring

  • Hydrant cap O-ring is made of EPDM

  • Sewer cleanout plug O-ring is made of EPDM; bolts are made of stainless steel
