Include a shut off point in your pipeline with a ball valve. This leak-resistant valve connects two pipes in an irrigation or other pressurized system and prevents the backflow of water.

Applications

  • Directs water flow one-way through pipe when ball valve opens, turn handle to rotate ball and close off pipeline; prevents costly property damage, pipe corrosion, and system issues

  • Use for pool and spa, irrigation, and plumbing installations; works with most PVC or CPVC pipe to transport water and prevent backflow of contaminated water in pressurized systems

  • The ball valve connects to pipe and other system components to allow water to flow through while blocking debris; allows a manual shut-off point in system

Installation & Maintenance

  • MIP ball valve connects to pipe ends; solvent weld with primer and glue

  • True union ball valve has two ends with both slip and threaded connectors; slip ends slide into pipe ends (solvent weld with primer and glue); twist to unscrew ends to reveal threaded ends

  • MIP ball valve performance issues can indicate damage; replace as needed

  • True union ball valve performance issues can indicate damage; valve ends can unscrew to remove valve from pipe line for maintenance
