Key Features

  • Roll includes built-in, vertical, and flared 90° root-deflecting ribs
  • Root-impervious molded end allows easy assembly with the use of staples or dual-sided solvent-based tape.
  • Durable material is treated with UV inhibitors and made of up to 50% recycled HDPE
  • Roll sizes: 12 in. X 20 ft.; 18 in. X 20 ft.; 24 in. X 20 ft.; and 36 in. X 20 ft.
  • Can be used with same height root barrier panels

Applications

  • Directs root growth from shrubs and trees downward and away from nearby hardscapes. Prevents costly property damage to pavements, roads, and building foundations

  • Ideal for use in planting applications directly adjacent to hardscape and use in individual tree planting

  • Root barrier rolls are available in rolls of 20 ft. lengths and 12 in., 18 in., 24 in., and 36 in. heights to form a protective barrier between roots and hardscapes

Installation

  • Cut sheet from roll to desired length, overlap and connect cut ends with staples or dual-sided solvent-based tape; place sheet at a distance around root ball to allow proper backfill
  • Integrated 90° root-deflecting ribs should always face root ball during installation
     

Maintenance

  • Check root barrier molded roll for damage; replace as needed

  • Roll material is made of durable high-density polyethylene (HDPE)

  • NDS root barriers are made of up to 50% post-consumer content and treated with  UV inhibitors
