Applications

- As part of a complete drip irrigation system, the emitter delivers water gradually; with a non-pressure compensating emitter, expect varying water flow based on length of tubing or elevation, with higher flow closer to the water source
Installation & Maintenance
- Can be used in multiple ways: attached to end of 1/4 in. distribution tubing connected to supply tubing; punched directly into supply tubing; or punched into supply tubing with 1/4 in. feeder line attached to extend reach toward plant
- Periodically check for leaks or damage and repair as needed; recommended operating pressure for most emitters is up to 50 PSI
Materials & Sustainability
- Emitter made of polyethylene treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking
- Drip irrigation can reduce water usage by up to 70% compared to conventional sprinkler irrigation when used properly; for most drip irrigation products, water is applied precisely and at the rate the soil can accept it to prevent runoff and erosion
