Applications
- Works as a universal fitting that accommodates various sizes of supply tubing or dripline (16mm, 17mm, 18mm)
- Use for subsurface or on grade installation; can be buried or left out on the surface in any weather; works in a variety of areas, from small to large, flat or sloped
- As part of a complete drip irrigation system, the Smart Loc ™ fitting works with a variety of supply tubing and dripline sizes to transport water to the area to be irrigated
Installation & Maintenance
- Twist nut toward center of fitting, then insert barbed end into the tubing opening; to secure, twist nut over the tubing end
- Periodically check for leaks or damage and repair as needed; recommended operating pressure for most fittings is up to 50 PSI
Materials & Sustainability
- Fitting made of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS), a type of plastic, treated with UV inhibitors to prevent cracking
- Drip irrigation can reduce water usage by up to 70% compared to conventional sprinkler irrigation when used properly; for most drip irrigation products, water is applied precisely and at the rate the soil can accept it to prevent runoff and erosion
