Micro Fittings

Micro fittings connect sections of 1/8 or 1/4 in. distribution tubing or 1/4 in. Dura Flo™ JR dripline. The barbed fittings fit inside drip tubing and anchor into place.

Key Features

  • Single-barbed design inserts into drip tubing and anchors into place
  • Designed to work with standard drip irrigation water pressures up to 50 PSI
  • Works with NDS drip irrigation products and distribution tubing or dripline
  • 1/8 in. size available as a coupling; 1/4 in. size available as a coupling, adapter, elbow, or tee.

Applications

  • Use fittings to set up a new drip irrigation system, expand an existing system, or make repairs

  • Use for subsurface or on grade installation; works with tubing or dripline to transport water to trees shrubs, flower beds, groundcover, vegetable gardens, plants in pots, planter boxes, and hanging baskets

  • As part of a complete drip irrigation system, the micro fitting connects 1/8 or 1/4 in. tubing or 1/4 in. dripline together, connects to other drip irrigation components to transport water to the area to be irrigated

Installation & Maintenance

  • Insert barbed fitting into tubing as far as it will go; barb will hold the product in place

  • Periodically check for leaks or damage and repair as needed; recommended operating pressure for most fittings is up to 50 PSI

Materials & Sustainability

  • Fitting made of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking

  • Drip irrigation can reduce water usage by up to 70% compared to conventional sprinkler irrigation when used properly; for most drip irrigation products, water is applied precisely and at the rate the soil can accept it to prevent runoff and erosion
