Key Features

  • Pointed ends pierce ground to secure tubing to finished grade
  • Available with flat or round top
  • Fits 1/2 in. tubing
  • Sod staples are 6 in. long
  • Made of galvanized steel

Applications

  • Secures tubing and keeps emitters from straying

  • Ideal for use in flower and vegetable gardens, around trees and shrubs, and with container plants

  • As part of a complete drip irrigation system, the sod staple anchors tubing and helps position an emitter near the plant's root zone

Installation & Maintenance

  • Lay out tubing, straddle tubing with the staple, then push staple completely into the ground to tack it down

  • Flat top staple can be inserted by hand or carefully hammered down for harder soil

  • Round top staple can be inserted by hand

  • Periodically check for damage and replace as needed

Materials & Sustainability

  • Sod staples are made of galvanized steel

  • Drip irrigation can reduce water usage by up to 70% compared to conventional sprinkler irrigation when used properly; for most drip irrigation products, water is applied precisely and at the rate the soil can accept it to prevent runoff and erosion
