34 in. High StormChamber® Systems

34 in. High StormChamber® Systems

Protect the landscape and prevent flooding even in limited footprints with the StormChamber® system. The 34 in. high arched, modular storm chambers can be configured in unique layouts to fit the requirements of the job site, and can also be stacked in layers.
34 in. High StormChamber® Systems

Key Features

  • Holds significant volume compared to other same size stormwater chambers on the market
  • Minimum installed storage for start unit 121 cu.ft., middle unit 107 cu.ft., end unit 121 cu.ft., closed unit 159 cu.ft.
  • Internal chamber volume start unit 71 cu.ft 24 cu.ft., middle unit 69 cu.ft., end unit 71 cu.ft., closed unit 74 cu.ft.
  • Designed for strength due to thermoformed high-density weight polyethylene (HMWPE) material; withstands extreme environments, and exceeds the AASHTO H-20 design load
  • Simple install - internal crossover eliminates expensive header pipe manifold system; modular chambers overlap to form rows; side portal feed connects rows, provides greater flexibility and hydraulic design
  • Easy maintenance - saves water and money by removing sediments from SedimenTrap™ devices using an air vacuum truck rather than jet cleaning with water
  • Long life expectancy - designed by engineers, ecologists, and biologists to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness

Applications

  • Detains, infiltrates, and conveys stormwater runoff; modular system maximizes storage volume with a smaller footprint than traditional concrete and stone systems; easy to maintain

  • Works in commercial, industrial, municipal, and residential settings to manage stormwater runoff; ideal for installing underneath parking lots, playing fields, and landscapes

  • As part of a complete stormwater management system, the StormChamber® system works with a capture device or drainage inlet to detain, infiltrate, and convey collected stormwater

Installation

  1. Excavate trench
  2. Line walls with non-woven filter fabric
  3. Add SedimenTrap™ devices
  4. Add hard stone & woven stabilization fabric
  5. Place overlapping chambers into trench & screw together
  6. Cut portal holes for pipe (read installation manual for details)

Maintenance

  • Use riser pipe connected to SedimenTrap™ device as an observation well and inspect with flashlight and stick
  • Air vacuum when deposits approach within 6 in. of the invert height of connecting pipes between StormChamber®  rows
  • Determine maintenance schedule with quarterly inspections and logbook
  • Maintenance without SedimenTrap device is done with water jet method

Materials & Sustainability

  • StormChamber® unit is made of thermoformed high-density weight polyethylene (HMWPE)

  • StormChamber® systems are made in the USA
