Sewer and Drain Fittings

Caps, couplings, elbows, tees, wyes, and cross are used to configure the drain pipe run. These fittings are used to direct water in the pipeline and are available in a variety of sizes to fit drain pipe sizes.

Key Features

  • The cap seals the end of pipe to stop the flow of water
  • The coupling connects two sections of pipe to extend the pipe run; increaser/reducer couplings make the transition between two different sizes of pipe
  • The elbow connects two sections of pipe and adds a 22.5°, 45°, or 90° turn to the pipe run; the street elbow provides a hub X spigot connection which different from a standard elbow
  • The long-turn elbow, also known as a sweep elbow, allows water to travel around the bend with less turbulence; and finally the long-turn street elbow provides a similar benefit but with a hub X spigot connection
  • The tee adds a 90° branch to the pipe run and connects three sections of pipe; the sanitary tee adds a 90° sweep for less turbulent flow and provides and easier cleanout of the pipeline
  • The wye connects three sections of pipe but unlike the tee, the third branch is at a 45° angle
  • When you have four lengths of pipe to connect, the cross comes into play

Applications

  • These drain fittings extend the pipe run and make connect sections of pipe together unless it's the cap, which stops the flow of water

  • Maximum working pressure of 5 PSI

  • As part of a complete drainage system, these fittings are used to direct the flow of water in drain pipe
