The 2 in. Atrium Drain Grate blocks mulch and debris, yet keeps on draining. Ideal for handling light flows of stormwater from small mulched landscape beds, natural areas, and window wells, the domed design rises above the ground surface to trap leaves, mulch and debris around the base while the water continues to drain from above.
The 2 in. atrium dome drain grate has an open surface area of 4.0 sq. in. and a flow rate of 12 GPM. Connects to 2 in. Sch. 40 fittings for a soil-tight fit. Built to stand up to the elements, the atrium drain grate is made of polyvinyl chloride, a type of plastic, using a combination of virgin and recycled content treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking from the sun. As part of a complete drainage system, the drain grate (also known as a drain cover) blocks mulch, leaves, and debris as it drains water into drain pipes. The pipes carry the water to a discharge point downstream such as a pop-up emitter, or to percolate into the ground with a dry well or infiltration trench.
