The irrigation valve box fits over large-sized valves, control zone kits, and other irrigation equipment to provide a clean and safe environment with access for maintenance. The durable black box and green cover are engineered with structural reinforcing ribs for added strength to stand up to the elements, pedestrian traffic, lawn care equipment, and potential vandalism. The jumbo valve box comes with a built-in bolt hole with brass nut; lid can be secured down with a 2-1/2 in. X 3/8 in. bolt (113BB, sold separately); the NDS valve box also features a pipe hole to make direct irrigation pipe connections. Rectangular lid is marked for Irrigation Control Valve (ICV) use and has a convenient slot so lid is easy to lift with a flathead screwdriver. Irrigation box is made of polypropylene (PP) using 100% recycled materials; valve box lid is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) using a combination of virgin and recycled materials. Both box and cover are treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking due to sun exposure.
