Pop-Up Drain Emitters

Water captured in your drainage system needs a point of release. The pop-up emitter works at a low point of the drainage system to discharge water collected from upstream and helps protect property from water damage. As water pressure builds, the cap pops up to disperse water and closes once the flow diminishes.

Key Features

  • Pop-up emitter cover consists of a spring-loaded cap and wide flange to prevents turf overgrowth
  • Engineered crossbar design underneath helps maximize flow while flushing out debris
  • Molded-in crossbar geometry along with internal ribs provide exceptional durability; supports pedestrian traffic including lawn tractors when properly installed
  • Available in a variety of sizes and configurations: 3 in., 4 in., 3 in. & 4 in., 6 in., with adapter, with elbow
  • Use with an elbow and weephole to drain residual water and help prevent stagnation and potential freezing of residual water

Applications

  • Install the pop-up drainage emitter at the lowest point in the drainage system

  • Place in areas away from buildings and landscapes, away from the curb

  • Works with a complete drainage system to release collected stormwater runoff and standing water to a discharge point before it causes costly property damage

Installation & Maintenance

  • Position pop-up emitter cover at or below ground level

  • Extend the lifespan with routine inspections; a clogged pop-up emitter can potentially back up the entire drainage system

  • Cut and remove turf mat away from the base flange

  • Clear debris from cover and cap; check drain pipe underneath and remove debris

  • Cap and cover made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE); adapter made of HDPE

  • Elbow made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
